Hill Country Map

The Texas Hill Country is situated smack in the center of Texas. It's bounded on the south and east by the Balcones Escarpment or fault. The drastic shift in geology is punctuated by rolling hills, valleys, live oaks and towering cypresses along the rivers. Scrub cypresses grow like weeds and are the bane to those with allergies, suffering from Cedar Fever.

Getting Here: The closest airport is Austin-Bergstrom in Austin. You can also fly into San Antonio, enjoy the Riverwalk and the Alamo, then head on out to the Hill Country.

Drive Times

Getting from one place to another takes time in the Hill Country. Texas is a big state and there's a lot of land to traverse. I've put together a drive time grid of how long it takes to get from one place to another.
