About this site
My husband and I had done a thorough search of the nation for a place to move, so when I turned in my resignation at Microsoft, we didn't contemplate for long where we would go. We were looking for a better quality of life where we could enjoy the beautiful surroundings and shore up our energy to head into the "teenage" years with our kids.
We discovered and fell in love with the Texas Hill Country. It provided affordable housing, a booming economy (in nearby Austin), quality schools, low crime and a beautiful setting.
This website is a celebration of our new life in the Hill Country. There's so much to experience and so many places to explore. This website gave me the motivation and the excuse to eat out, take day trips and meet my neighbors.
I hope you enjoy my insights and recommendations. If you have any tips that you want to share, please feel free to send them to me at: info@mytexashillcountry.com
If you've ever thought about creating your own website, but didn't know where to start, download the free action guide that got me started. Creating a website is hard work, but the rewards are great. I have made friends, explored my territory and have even helped hype new businesses with my reviews.
I use a suite of tools provided by Site Build It! to build and host my site. They provide the framework, all the tools, forums and tech support -- you provide the vision and the passion. You can even make a little money on the side through Google Ads and Affiliate partnerships.
The free Action Guide is well-worth the read. You can use it to enhance a site you already have or launch a new site, with or without using Site Build It! tools and system. I encourage you to read it from start-to-finish.
I've had a great time creating this site and I continue to explore and update the site -- I hope you enjoy reading about my new home and that you'll visit again.
